My name is Dr Anne Marie Coady. I am a consultant radiologist of 26 years standing who spent 24 years in the UK as the head of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary in Yorkshire. I set up and provided the endometriosis scanning service for Hull University Hospitals NHS Trust which was a recognised Endometriosis Centre, I ran this service for 14 years before returning to Ireland.
I am now working in the Coombe Hospital Dublin where I am involved not only in early pregnancy and fetal ultrasound but provide consultant scanning for the newly formed endometriosis service.
I want to take my years of scanning expertise out into the wider community and with this in mind I am opening a Consultant Diagnostic Gynaecological Ultrasound service in Skerries. This service will be a Consultant performed scan and report which will outline whether or not any further steps are required for management.
